This project started on the 18th July with 6 men. The labour was ramped up in the following few weeks up to 20 men.

This labour count was maintained until the end of the project which was on time and on budget.

As a number, we welded in new enough 70x70x8 Angle Iron which is welded both ends to span 2.7 km, not to mention lots of 15mm plate, heavy beams, channels & box section that has managed to put the conveyor back to code and ensure it will be able to supply the power station with coal for the remaining years of generation.

All this was possible with very good client – contractor relations. It has become very apparent that in order to deliver successful projects this is a huge benefit.

Many thanks to the EDF Energy team who have worked very closely with HL Engineering to ensure success.
